Hi buddy: I'm writing this with my intent to provide you some guidance with WinSol after I'm gone.
I know that WinSol is a 'mess' for some people - heck even for me! It's been a lifetime struggle to un-mess it. Just about everything at WinSol is designed to keep upkeep and maintenance low and to function - there's really nothing about aethestics (pretty obvious?)
First and foremost are property taxes. They are due on Dec 10 and April 10 of each year. Currently they are $415 each time - so $830 per year. If these are not paid on time, there's a penalty. And if they are delinquent after 1 year the property is listed in arrears and eventually will have a tax lien put on it, and after a while it could be auctioned off. Please don't let that happen. I love 7L - it was the only place in my life where i could find some refuge and comfort from the 'outside'. It was the longest place i lived in my entire life. I do hope you can take care of it.
I often call 7L my forest sanctuary. It was my back-up plan that i envisioned to be used when all else failed and I had nowhere to go... little did I know (or plan for) that to happen so early (2006). 7L is my solution to the constant hamster wheel of our society about making more and more money and spending more and more... and all the crazy fees for everything. There were only three costs for me at 7L: Cell/internet bill, property taxes and $35/yr for propane. Everything else is FREE! but you have to work at it.
I also want to make sure that 7L does not get sold. I would like it if you could hand it down to your kids or someone else that can take care of it if you can't.
